Chelsea's Jorginho defends "normal" contact

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho plays down suggestions that he should have been sent off during Sunday's Premier League fixture with Arsenal.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted that the referee was correct not to award him a second yellow card against Arsenal.

After being introduced as a first-half substitute, Jorginho was arguably fortunate to avoid being sent off when tugging the shirt of Matteo Guendouzi.

Jorginho would later play a pivotal role in Chelsea's comeback, netting their equaliser before a winner was added four minutes later.

However, the Italy international has suggested that the Gunners should not be feeling a sense of injustice after the Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Jorginho said: "The contact is normal in football and that's it. No more I think.

"In the first 30 minutes we were too soft, we had to push them on. I tried to change the game."

The success in North London has led to Chelsea reopening a four-point advantage in the race for fourth position in the standings.
