Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson is confident that Olivier Giroud will fit in well to Arsene Wenger's side.

Former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson is confident that new Gunners signing Olivier Giroud will be a success at the Emirates.

The France striker officially agreed to move to the Premier League outfit on Monday on a long-term contract.

"I think it's a good signing," Robson told talkSPORT. "I've seen Giroud play for France and Montpellier and he's an all-round striker.

"He's not got pace but he's got enough athleticism to get in behind people. He's very good in the air and his link-up play is good."

The 25-year-old is Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's second signing of the summer so far following the acquisition of Germany frontman Lukas Podolski.
