Wojciech Szczesny: 'Jack Wilshere is almost the complete player'

Wojciech Szczesny believes that Jack Wilshere is close to becoming the "complete player" for Arsenal.

Wojciech Szczesny has claimed that teammate Jack Wilshere is close to becoming a "complete player" for Arsenal.

Wilshere has started to show in recent weeks that he is back to his best form following a difficult couple of seasons with injury, and Szczesny believes that regular goals could be the only thing missing from the midfielder's game.

"He has done well," the Polish goalkeeper told Arsenal Player. "Obviously there is a lot of competition for his spot because you have Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey, plus Mikel [Arteta] and Mathieu [Flamini] playing that bit deeper.

"He can go past players in midfield, which is a very important quality. We are all about passing the ball and moving it quickly, but sometimes if you can get past players in midfield it gives us a massive advantage, and Jack is very comfortable doing that.

"That is one of his biggest qualities. If he can just add a few more goals to his game then he will be pretty much a complete player for us."

Wilshere has scored 11 goals since making his competitive debut for the club in 2008.
