Mesut Ozil 'determined to see out Arsenal contract'

Mesut Ozil will refuse to leave Arsenal this summer as he is determined to see out the final year of his contract at the club, according to a report.

Mesut Ozil will reportedly turn down the chance to leave Arsenal this summer as he is determined to see out the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The 31-year-old has not played a minute of Premier League football since the start of March and has not even made the squad for four of his team's six league matches since the campaign resumed.

The Gunners are thought to be keen to move the German on during this summer's transfer window, but according to The Sun, Ozil wants to see out the final year of his £350,000-a-week deal.

The report claims that the playmaker will then seek a move away on a free transfer next summer, with the United States and Turkey both options.

As it stands, Ozil would be free to hold talks with prospective new clubs in January.

The attacker has only scored once in 18 Premier League appearances during the 2019-20 campaign, while he has provided just one goal and three assists in 23 outings in all competitions this term.
