A report claims that talks between Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal have gone back to square one as a result of AC Milan's interest in Ivan Gazidis.

Arsenal's hopes of tying down Aaron Ramsey to a new long-term deal have reportedly hit a snag as talks with the midfielder have yet again collapsed.

The Wales international was rumoured to have been on the brink of putting pen to paper on fresh terms last week following months of discussions.

According to The Sun, however, the continuing circus surrounding the future of Ivan Gazidis has had a knock-on effect, as the Gunners' chief executive - wanted by AC Milan - has yet to rubber-stamp the £250,000-a-week contract.

Ramsey is said to have essentially agreed terms with Arsenal, but growing concern over Gazidis's immediate future means that the whole process has been undermined, as the club's longest-serving player is also a target for Milan.

Foreign clubs can open talks with the 27-year-old, who will become a free agent next summer, in 13 weeks' time.
