Bournemouth secure win over Barnsley

Bournemouth secure a 1-0 victory over Barnsley thanks to Marc Pugh's goal.

Bournemouth secured all three points against Barnsley at Goldsands Stadium thanks to a second-half goal from Marc Pugh this evening.

The two sides went into the interval goalless, but both threatened to break the deadlock in the second half.

However, the hosts took the lead as Pugh met Brett Pitman's cross and his smart finish ensured they bounced back from defeat at the weekend.

Pitman had a late chance to secure the win but his effort whistled narrowly wide of the target.
