Kurt Zouma forced off against Liverpool

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is forced off in the first half of his side's match against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge with an apparent knee injury.

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has been forced off in the first half of his side's Premier League clash with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The 20-year-old, who was making just his seventh league start of the season and first since mid-April, appeared to pick up a knee injury with 10 minutes to go until half time.

Teammates immediately signalled that the Frenchman would not be able to continue, but he did manage to limp off the field with the help of a physio.

Gary Cahill came on in place of Zouma, renewing his partnership at centre-back with John Terry, who gave the newly-crowned champions the lead after just five minutes.
