Demba Ba hails Chelsea tactics

Demba Ba praises Chelsea's tactics following Sunday's 2-0 win away to Liverpool.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba has praised the team's tactics following Sunday's 2-0 win at Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Blues defended for large periods of the match at Anfield, with goals from Ba and Willian sealing the points for Jose Mourinho's side.

Despite receiving some criticism for their negative performance, Ba believes that Chelsea executed their game plan perfectly.

"We always have a plan, you don't just go out on the pitch and play the way you want to play, you always have a plan," he told the club's official website.

"[For this match] it was to prevent them from scoring in the first few minutes because we've seen with every game they play at home they rush out and score goals.

"We had to prevent them from doing that, which we did in the first 15 to 20 minutes. Because of the way we play it's difficult for the other team to score."

Sunday's result has seen Chelsea move to within two points of leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table.
