Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter will ring the changes for Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

The 47-year-old shuffled his pack for Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round contest with Manchester City, which saw the English champions progress courtesy of a 2-0 victory.

Potter could switch to a back four for this match, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva coming into the team alongside Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Cucurella, who should retain their spots.

The front three are expected to drop out, with Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to feature in the final third of the field.

There will also be a recall for Mason Mount, but Ruben Loftus-Cheek could retain his spot in midfield alongside Mateo Kovacic.

Chelsea will again definitely be without the services of N'Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and Reece James through injury, while Carney Chukwuemeka is a doubt due to a thigh issue.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is also expected to miss out with a foot problem, while Jorginho is battling to overcome the foot injury that kept him out against Man City in the EFL Cup.

Potter could line Chelsea up in a 4-2-3-1 formation on Saturday, as he bids to overcome a Newcastle side that are currently third in the Premier League table.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Chalobah, T Silva, Cucurella; Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic; Sterling, Havertz, Mount; Aubameyang
