Chelsea reportedly plan to rival Manchester United for the services of Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.

Chelsea have allegedly joined Manchester United in the chase to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

The Wales international has been tipped to leave the European champions this summer amid reports that his relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane has deteriorated.

According to The Express, United remain the favourites to sign Bale but they face competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea, as well as Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Real are said to have slapped an £80m price tag on the winger, who came off the bench to score twice in Los Blancos' 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final.

Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett is expected to fly to Madrid to meet with club president Florentino Perez to discuss his client's future this week.
