Chelsea will reportedly submit an £80m offer for Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha in January if the Blues manage to overturn their transfer ban.

Frank Lampard's side were unable to sign any new players during the summer window due to a transfer suspension, which is also currently in place for the winter market.

However, according to The Sun, Chelsea are confident of overturning the ban at the start of 2020, at which point the club will launch an £80m offer for Zaha.

The Ivory Coast international was strongly linked with a move away from Selhurst Park throughout the summer, with Arsenal and Everton both said to be in the hunt.

The 26-year-old is believed to have handed in a transfer request in a bid to force the move, but Palace ultimately signalled that they were not prepared to sell the attacker ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Zaha, who has a contract with the Eagles until 2023, scored 10 times and contributed 10 assists during the 2018-19 Premier League season.

Chelsea face a trip to Zaha's former club Manchester United on the opening weekend of the new campaign, while Palace start at home to Everton.
