David Unsworth, Joe Royle to lead Everton

David Unsworth and Joe Royle will oversee Everton's home encounter against Norwich City at the weekend in the wake of Roberto Martinez's sacking.

Everton have confirmed that David Unsworth and Joe Royle will take charge of the team for the final game of the season against Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees confirmed earlier today that, following increasing speculation, Roberto Martinez had been relieved of his duties at Goodison Park after almost three years at the helm.

Now, the Merseysiders have turned to a former player and ex-manager to see out the campaign.

Unsworth, who made 350 appearances for the club during two spells as a player, is currently Everton's Under-21 coach.

Royle, 67, also played for the Blues, as well as guiding the club to the 1995 FA Cup.
