Hull City have confirmed that Mohamed Diame's knee injury is not as bad as first feared.
The midfielder was forced to miss Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur because of the problem.
The summer signing from West Ham United will be assessed again in midweek ahead of Hull's trip to Manchester United.
Senegal international Diame has scored four goals in eight games for the Tigers so far this season.
"Happily, the results of the scan show no major problems with the midfielder suffering from an irritation of the patella tendon," read a statement on the club's official website.
Hull take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday.
