Steve Bruce expected Hull City slump

Hull City boss Steve Bruce claims that his side's dip in form was inevitable.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has claimed that his team's current dip in form was always going to happen at some point this season.

The Tigers have slipped down to 13th place in the Premier League table in recent weeks following four defeats from their last five matches.

However, Bruce believes that his players will turn their fortunes around sooner rather than later with a positive result.

"We know what the Premier League is," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "There's going to be times when you're going to be up against it, if we think we're going to waltz through the entire season then we're very much mistaken.

"The one thing you have to do is ride with it and look for a result to turn it around.

"We always knew there would be times like these when you lose at home and it's disappointing but that's what life in the Premier League is like."

Hull's next game in the Premier League is on Sunday against Liverpool at the KC Stadium.
