Ipswich Town's Luke Hyam out injured for two weeks

Ipswich Town midfielder Luke Hyam is ruled out for two weeks with a deep cut in his knee.

Ipswich Town midfielder Luke Hyam has been ruled out for a couple of weeks because of a deep cut sustained in Saturday's defeat at Millwall.

The 22-year-old had scans on his knee that came back clear, but the severity of the cut still means that he will miss the upcoming games against Reading, Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers.

Town physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "The hospital washed out the cut, which is just below the knee, and then stitched up the wound.

"It's a deep cut and there is some heavy bruising around the area as well. He's on crutches and we have to be careful that the knee doesn't get infected."

The Tractor Boys are now without a league win in four and lie five points adrift of the playoff spots.
