Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester City could line up for Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg with Real Madrid.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will welcome Joao Cancelo back from suspension for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid.

The right-back makes a timely return with Kyle Walker's ankle injury bedevilling him, but he will travel with the group and could be involved in some capacity.

Nathan Ake will need to be assessed after coming off with a knock in the weekend's victory over Leeds United, while John Stones is not fit for the second leg.

Boasting a 4-3 lead from the first leg, Guardiola should once again stick with the pairing of Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte in front of Ederson amid Stones's injury woes.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is the most likely candidate to feature on the left with Cancelo out on the right, while Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne are both well-rested and ready to reprise their midfield roles alongside Rodri.

Riyad Mahrez was also named among the substitutes at Elland Road but will expect to come back into the side here, as Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish make do with spots on the bench.

Gabriel Jesus and Phil Foden should complete a largely unchanged side for the Citizens, who have Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan ready to provide stability off the bench if needed.

Man City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Jesus, Foden
