Manchester United will reportedly be without Raphael Varane for Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The centre-back emerged as a huge doubt for the contest when he picked up a thigh problem during France's UEFA Nations League victory over Spain on Sunday.
Varane is expected to undergo a scan at Man United's training complex on Tuesday afternoon, but according to L'Equipe, the 'first clinical examinations' have suggested that he will be absent against Brendan Rodgers's side.
The report claims that the issue is not serious, though, and could only rule him out 'for a few days', meaning that a return against Atalanta BC in the Champions League next week is possible.
Man United may be able to welcome Harry Maguire back into the fold this weekend, with the club captain thought to be closing in on a return after recovering from a calf problem.
Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly would be in contention to start as the two central defenders, though, if both Varane and Maguire are ruled out this weekend.
