Louis van Gaal: 'I will bench anybody'

Louis van Gaal insists that none of his Manchester United team will walk back into the first XI if they were sidelined with injury.

Louis van Gaal has warned his Manchester United players that nobody is exempt from being dropped.

United have been forced to contend with a string of injuries so far this season and, with those issues now easing, the Dutchman has warned that nobody will walk back into his first XI.

Van Gaal told Sky Sports News: "Nobody is walking back in my team. You have to earn it on the training ground - every player knows that.

"I have great respect for the players I use at this moment and I have also the confidence in these players."

The Red Devils face a tricky away trip to in-form West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.
