How Manchester United could line up against Norwich City

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Manchester United will continue their pursuit of the top four in the Premier League when they welcome struggling Norwich City to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are without a win in their last three matches in all competitions, while they suffered a 2-0 loss at Arsenal in their last league match on New Year's Day.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are in the race for fourth, though, as they sit in fifth spot in the table, just five points off Chelsea heading into the next set of fixtures in England's top flight.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the hosts could line up on Saturday afternoon as they prepare to take on Daniel Farke's strugglers, who are currently bottom of the table.

The main talking point ahead of Saturday's clash with Norwich surrounds the fitness of Harry Maguire, who is struggling with the hip problem that he picked up against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup last weekend.

The England international was not involved in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final, and it seems unlikely that he will be available for selection this weekend.

As a result, Solskjaer has a problem at the back as Axel Tuanzebe, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly are all still on the sidelines, meaning that Phil Jones, who has struggled in his limited outings this term, is expected to start alongside Victor Lindelof once again.

Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba remain unavailable for selection in midfield, meanwhile, which is expected to see Fred and Nemanja Matic feature once again, while Andreas Pereira should get the nod over Jesse Lingard in the number 10 position.

Brandon Williams's display against City should see the youngster feature ahead of Luke Shaw at left-back, while Daniel James is expected to start on the right as Mason Greenwood played the majority of the clash with City on Tuesday night.

Anthony Martial was only deemed fit enough for the bench against the Citizens having only just recovered from illness, but the Frenchman should start at the tip of the attack with Marcus Rashford continuing on the left.
