Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make 11 changes to his starting side for Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer changed his entire team for the EFL Cup contest with West Ham United on Wednesday night, but the Red Devils exited the competition courtesy of a 1-0 home defeat.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba will all return to the starting side, while Fred and Scott McTominay are expected to operate as the midfield two.

David de Gea has started the season in impressive fashion and will continue between the sticks, while Raphael Varane will join captain Harry Maguire in the middle of the defence.

Jadon Sancho has found it difficult to make his mark in the early stages of his career at Old Trafford, and the England international is expected to start on the bench against Dean Smith's side.

The Red Devils have no fresh injury concerns leading into the Premier League contest, with Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo the team's only confirmed absentees at this stage.

Edinson Cavani has a chance of being involved, but Solskjaer said that a lack of fitness cost the Uruguay international the opportunity to feature against West Ham in the EFL Cup, so it would not be a surprise if he started on the bench.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Greenwood, Fernandes, Pogba; Ronaldo
