Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly spent longer than usual at Manchester United training yesterday after holding clear-the-air talks with his players.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spent longer than usual at Manchester United training yesterday, according to a report.

The pressure is growing on the Norwegian, whose job is hanging by a thread after the Red Devils' 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

It was Man United's fourth consecutive Premier League game without a win and they are already eight points behind leaders Chelsea with just nine games of the season gone.

According to The Sun, Solskjaer was the first to arrive at training at Carrington yesterday and the last to leave as he fights to stay at the club.

The report adds that he met with senior figures at the club including Sir Alex Ferguson, before holding "clear-the-air" talks with his players to discuss why they are suffering from a poor run of form.

After the squad then left, Solskjaer reportedly worked late into the afternoon in preparation for Man United's trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, which could be his last chance to save his job.
