Antonio Conte would reportedly target a move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar if he was to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach of Manchester United.
Despite the immense pressure on Solskjaer following Sunday's 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool, the Norwegian will seemingly be in the dugout for Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 48-year-old's future at Old Trafford is far from secure, though, and Conte is seen as the favourite to replace the former striker if there is a change at the helm.
According to The Mirror, the former Chelsea boss would want to switch to a three-man defence at Old Trafford and has already identified Skriniar as the perfect acquisition.
The 26-year-old starred under Conte at San Siro and has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the last couple of years, with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur said to be interested.
Skriniar has made 179 appearances for Inter since arriving from Sampdoria in 2017 and featured on 32 occasions in Serie A last term as the Black and Blues won the title.
