Manchester United defender Phil Jones reportedly has two weeks to prove his fitness to England boss Roy Hodgson to make the World Cup squad.
The 22-year-old sustained a shoulder injury in his side's 3-1 win over Hull City in midweek after landing awkwardly while making a tackle.
Jones's injury was not as bad as first feared, but he only has two weeks to prove he can play in Brazil or his place will be taken by Everton defender John Stones, reports The Mirror.
The former Blackburn Rovers man has made nine appearances for the Three Lions since making his debut in 2011.
