Philadelphia Union heads into this weekend sat sixth in the table, but a victory could give them the chance to springboard up two places depending on other results.
The team have looked confident in recent games, with a win against Colorado Rapids being followed up by a draw against DC United in midweek.
While the Union Zolos will have been frustrated to share the points in their most recent match, they did manage to keep a clean sheet in that match which was a positive to take away.
At home Philadelphia Union have only been beaten once, and that is something that should inject plenty of confidence into the squad despite the fact they are the underdogs in this match.
A consistent run is something that would allow the team to start progressing up the league table, and taking points away from a team thriving at the top would be a strong way of achieving that.

However, New England Revolution will not be a simple team to defeat which is why they currently sit second as they have been one of the most dominant teams in the division.
Despite that, Bruce Arena will want to see a lot more from his men this weekend after consecutive matches without a win, with both of those games resulting in losses.
The most recent was a 2-1 loss against Inter Miami, despite the fact that Carles Gil had drawn them level in the 26th minute.
Getting back to winning ways is going to be crucial for New England Revolution as it could lead to them closing the gap at the top of the league table, as only three points separate them and FC Cincinnati right now.
However, a loss could just as easily lead to them dropping down to be sat fourth after the end of the weekend, showcasing how tight things are at the top and the need for results.

After keeping a clean sheet last weekend, there is likely not going to be any changes made to the back four of Philadelphia Union heading into this one as they aim to repeat that feat.
Jose Andres Martinez was able to overcome a hamstring issue to feature in their most recent match, but he was only able to appear from the bench, while this time out he might be able to provide more minutes.
Gil will be a key part of the attacking component for the visitors as the attacking, creative midfielder playing just behind the forward.
However, the visitors are going to be without Dylan Borrero due to an ACL issue which is going to keep him out of action for a lengthy period.
Philadelphia Union possible starting lineup:
Blake; Glesnes, Elliot, Lowe; Mbaizo, Bedoya, Flach, McGlynn, Wagner; Gazdag, Carranza
New England Revolution possible starting lineup:
Petrovic; Bye, Farrell, Romney, Jones; Polster, Buck, Bajraktarevic, Gil, Boateng; Wood
We say: Philadelphia Union 1-0 New England Revolution
Philadelphia Union might be the underdogs heading into this match, but their recent form overall is something that could give them the edge in this one.
