Half-Time Report: Port Vale hold Peterborough United

Port Vale hold Peterborough United to a 0-0 draw at half time, as Britt Assombalonga spurns many of the opportunities for the hosts to open the scoring.

Port Vale have successfully held Peterborough United at bay for 45 minutes as Micky Adams's men have recorded a 0-0 draw at half time.

Posh started the brighter of both teams and spurned two opportunities to take the lead early on; firstly with Britt Assombalonga narrowly missing the right-hand corner, before his strike partner Tyrone Barnett thrashed wide from a good angle minutes later.

Darren Ferguson's men continued to threaten, as Assombalonga once again came close to opening the scoring, firing over the bar from close range.

However, the Valiants came closeto breaking the deadlock against the run of play moments before the interval, as Lee Hughes found himself with a glorious opportunity before blazing over the bar from inside the area.
