Preview: Reading vs. Huddersfield Town

Sports Mole looks ahead to Reading's Championship match against Huddersfield Town at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Huddersfield Town will be looking for their first points of the new Championship season when they travel to the Madejski Stadium to face Reading on Tuesday evening.

The Terriers, who have already parted company with manager Mark Robins this season, sit bottom of the table following heavy defeats to Bournemouth and Cardiff City.

Long-term injury absentee James Vaughan is making good progress in his recovery from a calf injury according to the club, but it is uncertain whether he will be ready for a return this week, while Oscar Gobern and Anthony Gerrard remain injury doubts.

Meanwhile, Reading will continue to be without a number of their first-team players as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Hal Robson-Kanu, Danny Williams, Danny Guthrie and Jamie Mackie are all sidelined with knocks, while new signing Anton Ferdinand is continuing to work on his fitness.

However, Nigel Adkins will be hoping that his young players continue to step up after Jake Taylor scored his first goal for the club in their 1-0 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The same fixture last season finished with a 1-1 draw.
