Cristiano Ronaldo bags a second-half brace as Real Madrid thrash AC Milan in New York.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a second-half brace as Real Madrid thrashed AC Milan in the World Football Challenge at Yankee Stadium.

Angel Di Maria fired the La Liga champions ahead with a long-range strike midway through the first half, before Robinho equalised from close range moments later.

Following a quiet first half for Ronaldo, the Portuguese latched onto Lassana Diarra's through ball to put his side back in front four minutes into the second period.

Kaka replaced Mesut Ozil after 62 minutes and the Brazilian then directly assisted three goals for his side.

After playing in Ronaldo for his second goal on 66 minutes, the Brazilian crossed for Sergio Ramos to head home nine minutes from time.

Jose Callejen completed the rout in the dying seconds of the match, tapping home a perfect Kaka pass.
