Orlando City manager Adrian Heath has fuelled speculation that Real Madrid star Kaka could join the club should they be granted entry into Major League Soccer.
The Florida-based team are bidding to become part of the big leagues in America in 2015, just as the 31-year-old's contract at the Bernabeu expires.
Kaka is a close friend of Orlando part-owner Brazilian billionaire Flavio Augusto da Silva, leading to rumours that he could be offered a role in the near future.
Former Everton midfielder Heath, who has been in charge of the Florida-based outfit since 2011, said that the club are planning big signings.
"I believe it is very possible to get him here," Heath told WFTV 9. "You don't have to be Einstein to work out that his contract ends right around the same time we expect to be in the MLS.
"It would be unbelievable for our club. We believe in the pathway we have planned out and in that pathway there are two or three big time players.
"Is it going to be Kaka or will it be someone else? Who knows."
Kaka has been linked with a move back to Brazil, as well as former club AC Milan, although his wage demands are thought to be putting clubs off.
