Moussa Sissoko has confirmed that he has joined Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle United on deadline day.
The 27-year-old looked to be on the verge of a move to Everton after the Toffees became the first team to match the Magpies' asking price of £30m earlier today.
However, the player himself reportedly turned down a switch to Goodison Park in favour of Tottenham, who entered the race in the dying stages of the transfer window.
Spurs are thought to have matched Everton's offer of paying £6m in five separate instalments, with Sissoko preferring a move to White Hart Lane due to the prospect of Champions League football.
Sissoko took to Twitter to confirm that he has signed a five-year deal in North London, although official confirmation is yet to arrive from either club.
