West Bromwich Albion's Steven Reid: 'I don't expect to be first choice always'

Steven Reid admits that he will not always be first choice at West Bromwich Albion next season.

West Bromwich Albion defender Steven Reid is under no illusion that he will be first choice for head coach Steve Clarke next season.

The right-back believes that he will have to fight with Billy Jones for a spot in the starting lineup during the 2013-14 campaign.

"I'm sure there will be games this season when the gaffer chooses to pick Billy for certain games and me for others," the Birmingham Mail quotes Reid as saying.

"I'm sure we'll both play our part this season and have another successful season as a club. Whether you have a bad game or not in the previous match the gaffer tends to pick a team he thinks is going to win on the day."

Reid recently penned a new contract at The Hawthorns.
