Manchester United held at West Ham United

Manchester United come from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw at West Ham United in the Premier League.

Manchester United have come from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw at West Ham United in the Premier League.

Robin van Persie scored with 13 minutes left to play at Upton Park to help the league leaders to a share of the spoils against the Hammers.

The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when Ricardo Vaz Te nodded in from close range after Andy Carroll had headed back across goal from Matt Jarvis's cross.

United were level at the break, though, as Antonio Valencia tapped home following some slick play on the left from Shinji Kagawa.

However, West Ham regained the advantage 10 minutes into the second half thanks to Mohamed Diame's curling effort into the far corner from the edge of the penalty area.

The visitors came close to making it 2-2 on the hour mark, but Wayne Rooney's strike was cleared off the line by Gary O'Neil.

Jussi Jaaskelainen came to West Ham's rescue soon after when he tipped over Robin van Persie's header.

Despite some dogged defending from the home side, United got their equaliser with 13 minutes left to play as Van Persie converted the rebound after Kagawa's shot had hit both posts.
