Wolverhampton Wanderers field four debutants in their starting lineup to face Everton, while Richarlison is given his first competitive start for the Toffees.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has handed Premier League debuts to summer signings Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho for this evening's home clash against Everton.

The Portugal international duo, who both featured for their national side in this summer's World Cup, are joined by fellow newbies Jonny Castro Otto and Raul Jimenez.

Jimenez will start in the frontline alongside Helder Costa and Diogo Jota, as Santo sticks with his favoured 3-4-3 formation that worked well for Wanderers in the second tier last season.

Club-record signing Adama Traore and midfield ace Leander Dendoncker both miss out on inclusion, having only joined Wolves late in the week.

Everton's only debutant is £45m summer arrival Richarlison, meanwhile, with the Brazilian attacker being fielded in a three-man attacking midfield alongside Theo Walcott and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Cenk Tosun will lead the line for the Toffees in the first Saturday evening game of the new season, with Everton aiming to make it seven years without defeat in their curtain-raising fixture.

High-profile arrival Lucas Digne is among the subs as he is eased into life at his new club, but there is no room in the squad for Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes and Bernard.

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Patricio; Bennett, Coady, Boly; Doherty, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny; Costa, Jota, Jimenez
Subs: Ruddy, Enobakhare, Gibbs-White, Saiss, Vinagre, Hause, Bonatini

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Jagielka, Baines; Gueye, Schneiderlin; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Tosun
Subs: Stekelenburg, Holgate, Digne, Davies, Sandro, Niasse, Calvert-Lewin
