Huddersfield Giants have made a return to winning ways in Super League with a narrow 14-12 victory at Catalans Dragons.
The Giants saw their three-game winning run ended by St Helens last weekend, but a Jamie Ellis penalty was enough to see them overcome Catalans in France.
A cagey opening half finally came alive on 28 minutes when Ellis converted Jermaine McGillvary's try to give the visitors the lead.
Catalans then drew themselves level moments before the break as Scott Dureau added the extras to a score from Krisnan Inu.
The Dragons went in front five minutes after the restart when Morgan Escare went over, allowing Dureau to kick his side into a 12-6 advantage. However, their lead did not last long as Ellis converted another McGillvary try five minutes later to make the game all square.
With clear-cut chances hard to come by, Huddersfield edged in front with 30 minutes left thanks to an Ellis penalty and they managed to hold on to claim the spoils.
