Nathan Brown disappointed by St Helens display

St Helens coach Nathan Brown admits that his forwards were not good enough during Friday's surprise defeat to Hull FC in the Super League.

St Helens coach Nathan Brown has admitted that his forwards performed below their usual standards during Friday's surprise defeat to Hull FC in the Super League.

The league leaders suffered only their sixth loss of the season on Friday night as they were beaten 19-12 at the KC Stadium.

"To help them make life easier we need our forwards to do a little better. I didn't think we were as good through the middle as we've been in the last five or six weeks," Brown told Sky Sports News.

"Hull have got some good forwards but I'd like to think we could have done better. I thought they rolled down the field very easily."

Saints are back in action on August 15 when they entertain Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League.
