Owen Farrell has thanked Jonny Wilkinson for helping to improve his kicking game after bagging 24 points in England's third-Test victory over Australia on Saturday.
The Red Rose sealed a famous series whitewash Down Under by winning all three fixtures, the latest of which ended 44-40 largely thanks to the precision of Farrell.
Six penalties and three successful conversions ensured that the Saracens star recorded the highest score by an England player against Australia on foreign soil, which he put down to the impact of World Cup-winning fly-half Wilkinson.
"Working with Jonny has impacted on me massively," he is quoted as saying by The Telegraph. "He's made me understand a lot better what I do and how I get to where I want to get to. He's the best ever.
"I can't see anybody ever being better than him, either. He's a good person to learn from. He's someone who knows it all inside out. He's someone who's thought a lot about it.
"Not only that he's a brilliant person to learn off. If it doesn't go in one way, he's got 10 different ways of telling you how to do it. It's brilliant for the likes of me and George [Ford], obviously."
Only Wilkinson has scored more points against Southern Hemisphere opposition - 27 against South Africa in Bloemfontein 16 years ago.
