Jeremy Chardy expresses his confidence ahead of his Australian Open quarter-final clash with world number three Andy Murray.

Frenchman Jeremy Chardy has admitted that he is full of confidence following his performance at the Australian Open so far.

The 25-year-old advanced through to his first Grand Slam quarter-final earlier today courtesy of a 5-7 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory over Italian Andreas Seppi at Melbourne Park.

Speaking ahead of his final eight meeting with British number one Andy Murray, Chardy insisted that his win over Juan Martin del Potro earlier in the competition has given him plenty of belief.

"I know I can beat everybody. So when I feel confident, I believe in me," he said. "Against Del Potro, I played a very good match. So it was good for my head.

"After my first win, I feel more relaxed, more confident. Now I'm in a quarter-final. It's just like a dream."

Chardy won his most recent match against Murray at the Western & Southern Open back in August 2012.
