Petra Kvitova booked her place in the quarter-finals at Indian Wells by affording Klara Zakopalova just five games this afternoon.
After five games on serve, the Czech former Wimbledon champion broke in the sixth and then again in the eighth to take the opener 6-2.
Kvitova raced into a 5-0 lead in the second before Zakopalova staved off the end for three games, but couldn't complete an unlikely turnaround as Kvitova won the second 6-3 to finish the match in just under an hour.
The fifth seed will next take on either Maria Kirilenko or Agnieszka Radwanska in California.
