Laura Robson has made it through to the second round of the Miami Masters with a three-set victory over Camila Giorgi.
British number two Robson did enough against the Italian to avoid a fourth consecutive first-round exit on the WTA Tour.
The 19-year-old came out on top 6-2 4-6 6-3 in what was an error-strewn encounter with the world number 73.
Robson will now face French 32nd seed Alize Cornet in the next round.
