Jonas Bjorkman to work with Andy Murray?

Jonas Bjorkman is reportedly on the verge of taking up a coaching role with Andy Murray.

Andy Murray has reportedly identified Jonas Bjorkman as the ideal candidate to become his new assistant coach.

The position has been open ever since world number four Murray split with Dani Vallverdu last November.

Numerous reports have this morning claimed that Bjorkman, who won nine Grand Slam doubles titles, will work with the 27-year-old Scot for a trial period next month, with a view to taking up a permanent role.

At present, the Swede is taking part in Let's Dance, which a version of Strictly Come Dancing in his homeland.

Murray's head coach, Amelie Mauresmo, is only committed for 25 weeks of the season.
