Roger Federer will face Tomas Berdych in the semi-final of the Paris Masters after claiming a straight-sets victory over Juan Monaco.
The 30-year-old Swiss is one step away from the final in France after recording a 6-3 7-5 win.
The Argentinian pro held his own against the former world number one until midway through the first set when Federer displayed an extra bit of flair to claim the lead.
The second set continued by the way of serve with neither opponent forcing a way through. However, it wasn't long until the world number three came into his stride in order to finish off the match in straight sets.
Federer will go head to head with Tomas Berdych, who defeated British number one Andy Murray two sets to one.
