British number one Andy Murray has admitted that he felt "very nervous" on court during his third-round win over Marcos Baghdatis at Wimbledon last night.

The 25-year-old Scot was frequently frustrated before eventually sealing the 7-5 3-6 7-5 6-1 victory at 11.02pm.

He failed to convert 17 of his 23 break points and was twice penalised after a ball fell out of his pocket mid-point.

"I was really struggling. He was coming in a lot, I had a lot of break points and when I wasn't taking them he was getting a lot of momentum," Murray told BBC Sport.

"I was struggling quite a lot with my footing. It felt like the ball was always [falling out of my pocket] so I went to having just one ball. It was annoying. I'm blaming the shorts, it wasn't my fault. It was a tricky first week, and I'll need to play better.

"I was very nervous today. I had to hustle my way through the match."

Murray will now face 16th seed Marin Cilic in the last 16 on Monday.
