Serena Williams hits out at the security at Wimbledon's Court Number Two after being "totally mobbed" after her three-set win over Yaroslava Shvedova.

Serena Williams has hit out at the security at Wimbledon's Court Number Two after she was "totally mobbed" after her three-set win over Yaroslava Shvedova.

Williams received a racquet abuse violation after losing the second set, but her concern was with the walk to and from the locker room, on which the crowds are close to the players.

"I was totally mobbed. I thought I was going to fall down after the match. You know, I guess that comes with the territory. It was crazy out there," ESPN quotes Williams as saying.

"There were tons of security guards in there just going nuts and screaming. I've never heard them scream so loud. Maybe that should be taken into consideration."

Williams takes on Czech Petra Kvitova on Centre Court today.
