Tony Mowbray: 'Coventry City must improve home form'

Tony Mowbray claims that Coventry City need to improve their home form in order to survive in League One.

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray believes that his team must improve their home form if they are to survive in League One.

The Sky Blues missed the opportunity to ease their relegation fears after falling to a 1-0 defeat against fellow strugglers Leyton Orient at the Ricoh Arena.

Speaking after the game, Mowbray suggested that Coventry's defending helped in gifting Orient victory.

He is quoted by the club's official website as saying: "The huge frustration for us is the simplicity of the goal we've conceded. We've got to defend those situations much better and at the end of the day, it is a straight ball we didn't deal with.

"We're giving teams goals at home which they don't have to work to hard for and whilst that has been highlighted to the team, I couldn't knock their determination.

"It was as good as I've seen us play at home. We've got to improve our home form, there is no doubt about that. We've got three more games here and we need to pick up points."

City are currently 17th in the League One table, having played more games than all of the sides below them.
