Toulouse hammer Evian

Emmanuel Riviere score twice for Toulouse as they defeat Evian Thonon Gaillard 4-0 away from home.

Toulouse have continued their impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign with a 4-0 defeat of Evian Thonon Gaillard away from home.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when, released by Etienne Capoue, Franck Tabanou fired in from outside the penalty box.

It became 2-0 to Toulouse on the stroke of half-time as Emmanuel Riviere latched on to a through ball from Etienne Didot and shot home from a narrow angle.

Riviere scored his second goal of the evening five minutes after the break, slotting home from close range after once again being teed up by Didot.

Didot created another goal for Toulouse, providing the assist for Daniel Braaten to wrap up the points three minutes from normal time with his side's fourth.
