Manchester United could reportedly complete the signing of Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara by this Friday.

Manchester United could reportedly secure the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona by this Friday.

The Spain Under-21 captain is believed to be a main target for the Premier League champions, who are also said to be eager to clinch the signature of Everton full-back Leighton Baines.

Recent reports had claimed that a proposed deal could fall through, but it is understood by ESPN that Thiago is ready to leave Camp Nou for Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, United manager David Moyes is said to be holding talks with striker Wayne Rooney today in a bid to sort out his future.
