Guingamp shock Paris Saint-Germain

Jeremy Pied's goal gives Guingamp a shock 1-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain in Sunday afternoon's Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Municipal de Roudourou.

Struggling Guingamp have shocked Paris Saint-Germain as Jeremy Pied's solitary goal gifted En Avant a 1-0 win in this afternoon's Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Municipal de Roudourou.

The hosts took the lead after just 11 minutes when Younousse Sankhare's headed flick-on following a set piece fell to Pied, who nodded home past Salvatore Sirigu.

PSG set about trying to find an equaliser straight away, with Blaise Matuidi's shot three minutes later coming close but flying just shy of the top left corner.

Marco Verratti was next to trouble the Guingamp goal, but his effort from outside the box in the 20th minute was comfortably saved by Jonas Lossl.

The home side ended the first half on a high following a bright spell, but after the break PSG stepped it up and saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Yohan Cabaye come close.

The visitors dominated possession and kept plugging away, but could not get themselves onto the scoresheet as Guingamp held firm to secure all three points and a precious scalp.
