Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's North London derby against Arsenal.

Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium in the first North London derby of the season, looking to bounce back from the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Unai Emery's side suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of the Reds, with Lucas Torreira grabbing a late consolation following strikes from Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah.

Summer signing Nicolas Pepe was handed his first Premier League start at Anfield and showed glimpses of his talent, including when he breezed past Andrew Robertson before having a shot saved by Reds goalkeeper Adrian.

The Gunners could not muster anything meaningful from the game, however, and the result left the side third in the table going into this weekend's ties.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Emery's team.

Mesut Ozil

Possible return date: September 1 (vs. Tottenham)

Arsenal boss Emery told his press conference before the Liverpool defeat that Ozil, who missed the Gunners' opening two league matches, was to be the subject of a late fitness test. The German international was still short of match fitness, but is expected to feature in Sunday's North London derby.
