Arsenal set to sign Andre Santos

Arsenal are reportedly set to sign Brazilian left-back Andre Santos from Fenerbahce.

Arsenal are reportedly set to sign Brazilian defender Andre Santos from Fenerbache.

Turkish sports channel NTVSPOR claims that the left-back, who has made 22 international appearances, is set to move to the Gunners for €7m (£6.2m).

The 28-year-old is one of a handful of players poised to leave a club set for relegation amidst match-fixing allegations that saw the club removed from the Champions League.

Bacary Sagna, primarily a right-back, has been playing in the left-back position in recent weeks as Gael Clichy has moved to Manchester City and Kieran Gibbs has been injured.

Another left-back, Armand Traore, is expected to seal a switch to QPR, having undergone a medical.

A midfielder and striker are also on the radar of manager Arsene Wenger as the Gunners look to reportedly add four players before deadline day on Wednesday, although Park Chu-Young is thought to be nearing an Arsenal move from AS Monaco.
