Arsenal to offer Liverpool £51m for Luis Suarez?

Arsenal will reportedly up their bid to £51m for controversial Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer Liverpool £51m for the services of controversial striker Luis Suarez.

The North London outfit have had two rejected bids for the Uruguayan international, who has claimed that Liverpool promised him that he could leave this summer for a Champions League club, which manager Brendan Rodgers has denied.

It is understood that Arsenal will up their bid of £40,000,001m to £51m to try to test Liverpool's firm stance that the striker is not for sale, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that Suarez will take his case to the Premier League following revelations that the player's camp believe that a bid in excess of £40m triggers a release clause in his contract, while Liverpool have denied the existence of a clause.
