Ivan Rakitic has said that Barcelona are capable of winning every trophy that they are involved in this season.

The 27-year-old joined the Spanish giants last year from Sevilla and helped them to win the treble in his first season.

Despite their success in the last campaign, Rakitic insists that their will to win has not dropped and he expects them to maintain their impressive form.

"Our desire to continue making history is maximum," he told reporters. "We will work in the best way possible for the sextuple. We trust ourselves and our strength.

"We have a very strong team. Honestly, I try to be myself. I like to take responsibility.

"I come from a team where I was captain, so I like my teammates to trust me."

Rakitic scored the opening goal in last season's Champions League final as Barcelona earned a 3-1 victory over Juventus.
